Goldie Joy

Terms and conditions of sale

In force from 23 September 2026

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Who is selling

The products shown on goldiejoy.com are sold by Kevin LEGRAND EI, 20 avenue Foch, 75016 Paris, sole trader, SIRET 882 880 479 00028, reachable at contact@goldiejoy.com and on 06 01 31 86 32 (hereinafter “Goldie Joy”).

These terms apply to any order placed on the website by a consumer. The customer accepts them when ordering; the applicable version is the one online on that date.

2. The products

Goldie Joy sells metal medallions and jewellery, laser-engraved with the text or photo chosen by the customer. Each piece is made to order: it is an item made to the customer’s specifications and clearly personalised.

The preview shown during personalisation is a faithful but indicative simulation: the actual engraving depends on the metal, and a photo is translated into shades of grey by the machine. Slight differences in tone, contrast or sharpness compared to the screen are not a defect.

3. Ordering

The customer chooses a piece, composes the engraving and checks the preview, then enters their details. Before paying, they confirm that they have proofread the spelling and checked the framing of the engraving and accept these terms. The engraving is made exactly as approved.

The order is binding once payment is accepted. A confirmation e-mail summarises it and links to a tracking page.

Correction period: for 60 minutes after payment, the customer can, from the tracking page, fix a typo in an engraved text or their delivery address, or cancel the order for a full refund. This period is a commercial courtesy; once it has ended, the piece goes into production and the order can no longer be changed or cancelled.

Goldie Joy may refuse an engraving that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others or is offensive; the customer is then refunded in full.

4. Prices

Prices are in euros and are the final prices to pay: no VAT is charged. VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French Tax Code (Goldie Joy is exempt from VAT under the French small-business scheme). Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed, depending on the destination country. The price charged is the one displayed when ordering.

5. Payment

Payment is made online by bank card when ordering, through a secure payment provider. Goldie Joy never sees card numbers. An invoice is available on the tracking page and attached to the shipping e-mail.

6. Production and delivery

Pieces are engraved and dispatched within 3 to 5 working days after the correction period, by tracked letter, to France, Monaco and the countries of the European Union. Transit time depends on the carrier. An e-mail with the tracking number is sent when the parcel leaves.

Photo engraving: the piece is engraved within 2 working days after the correction period. The customer then receives by e-mail a link to a short video of the piece. From the order page, they confirm shipping or report a problem: if the engraving does not match the order, the piece is engraved again or refunded in full. The piece is dispatched once the customer has confirmed. The delivery period is suspended between the sending of the video and the customer’s reply.

If the order has not been delivered within 30 days, the customer may, after asking Goldie Joy to deliver within a reasonable additional period, terminate the sale and be refunded.

Until the parcel is handed over to the customer, the risk of loss or damage lies with Goldie Joy: a parcel lost or damaged in transit is replaced at our expense, or refunded if the customer prefers. Pieces are delivered at the latest 15 working days after the order in France and Monaco, and 20 working days elsewhere in the European Union. The customer checks their address before paying; a parcel returned because of a wrong or incomplete address may be re-sent for a new shipping fee.

7. No right of withdrawal

Under article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code (and article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Engraved pieces therefore cannot be returned or exchanged — including in the event of a typo or framing approved by the customer.

8. A mistake on our side, a defect

If the engraving does not match what the customer approved, or if the piece arrives damaged or defective, Goldie Joy re-engraves and sends a new piece at its own expense, or refunds the customer if they prefer. Simply e-mail contact@goldiejoy.com with the order number and a photo. This commitment is in addition to the legal guarantees below and does not replace or reduce them.

9. Legal guarantees

In addition, the customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for two years from delivery — repair or replacement, or failing that a price reduction or refund — and from the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code) for two years from discovery of the defect.

10. Photos and texts supplied

The customer warrants that they hold the rights to the photos and texts they supply and have the consent of the people shown. These files are used only to make the order and are deleted as described in the privacy policy.

11. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint should first be sent to contact@goldiejoy.com. Failing an agreement, the customer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator:

CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — www.cm2c.net.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers resident in another EU country of the protection of the mandatory provisions of their own law.
